Words Often Confused



Canvass: To seek votes or business - During elections, workers of all political parties canvass for their candidates.
Canvas: A kind of coarse cloth. - Nowadays people like shoes made of canvas.

Council: An assembly - The Prime Minister inducted two more persons in the council of Minister.
Counsel: Advice- We must listen to the counsel of our elders.
